Salutations fellow dissimilars and those too similar...lol

Yo, had a nice lil blessing get tossed my way today, got me a job as an artist for an up and coming clothing line called the Word...ya digg...cool dude the owner is, its nice to do artwork for two companies who base their work off of all things Holy...

Uhhh...other than that, it was a good day, school was smooth, practice was great, and Trae just had a good day...

But what do i wanna talk about today???

    Got it

The effect music has on the youth...
    Ooooohh lol

So a while ago i asked myself why does music have such a firm, constrictive hold on the youth today...valid question right?...thought so...
Anyway i look at it like this...check this out...when you go out on a daily basis, you are destined to hear any hip-hop and r&b...guaranteed...then you say "so what"...well thats just it...take a newborn child, growing and learnig throughout their youth, theyre gonna be exposed to the music that we hear today...then you say "so what"..."its just music"...yeah it is...but its the message...the concept of the music...you got guys out here callin themselves "goons" and females being called "bust it baby" (which in my opinion...is the most stupid name to be called...bust it baby...?!)...every catchy tune that becomes popular is instantaneously placed into the vernacular of our children...example...more recently "swagga" from "Swagga Like Us", go back to "Umma Do Me", "hatin" from every song there is lol, of course theres "bust it baby", "goon"...my point?...simply that the music we listen to is so influential to the point that we pick up on it unknowingly sometimes...and while people my age, 18-21 are somewhat mature enough to filter the negative and positive parts of the music and not be affected, those younger are not so fortunate to have the mental capacity to do such...they become victims...hypnotized by the subliminal messages of sex, dope slangin, murder, *cough*homosexuality*cough*, promiscuity...the list goes on...they grow with that message in their minds and as they continue to hear it, the message too grows...creating a generation of zombies...driven by the music that is their supreme order...deep isnt it?...i know...but hey, you may be like me, listen to all the hip-hop and r&b you want and ever so slightly be affected...if youre that person, GOD bless you, for you have a superior mind...smooth...this doesnt apply to you...unless youre in denial...

God Bless and Gods Label Up,
    Trae...
